So… Goth Girl Rising by Barry Lyga is awesome, even amazing but I can’t say that sine i’m almost at the 200 mark and i have another 100+ pages to go. It’s the sequel to The Astonishing Adventures Of Fanboy and Goth Girl.

Funny story of how I got it. My friend took it out of her backpack & i just saw a pale face with blue lipstick and the first thing I thought was ‘Oh wow, another goth girl story saying that nothig is wrong with her blah blah blah.’ Stuff like that. Well, I read the front flap ad while I was reading I thought it sounded vaugely familiar and then BAM! the word ‘Fanboy’ popped out and I was like fan-girling over it. & I started reading it.

I started reading it @ 8:15am and I only got up to page 197 & it 10pm. I know I suck but the BOOK IS SO GOOD. Lyga captures Kyra so perfectly and he’s talking about problems she has about being a girl that I think a Woman is writing this. He’s that good. o.O It scared the living crap out of me of how it got it so down pact. I loved the first one & I’m loving this one. Oh, I should put a quick summary. Well, after six months in a mental hospital, Kyra comes home and finds that some things have changed. Fanboy, the boy she couldn’t stop think about, the boy who has a amazing talent with his comic book, has changed too. [Not really a good summary because i suck at them.]

Again, I am loving this book. With only 2 books I read from him, he’s becoming a favorite author of mine. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE. Espically people who love High School Stories [sarcastic ones] & Comic Book Geeks won’t feel left out either. This possibly isn’t the best review [I haven’t even finished the book.] but I just like it that much. I haven’t really read books I some time. I read Fanfiction for the time being. Fanfiction messes with your head after a time!
