These Friends Are Golden

ruthiestumpHave I ever told you guys how much I love my friends? No? Well, I love them a lot. I mean, we've been together for 5 about to be 6 years and with being teenagers that met during the 7th grade, this is the next best thing to being childhood friends.
A lot of things happen in this group. Nothing very dramatic like getting pregnant at the age of 13 but a whole bunch of bullshit that could have prevented(you know if they listened to me once in a while. :P). We been worn down, we fought against each other but through every little 'fight' we had, we have countless of good memories. Our picnics, group sleepovers and our pointless sittings in McDonald's can keep me smiling until I die. :)
This is why I suggested that we should make a mix CD of songs that kind of describe our friendship. It could be a specific song for two people or a song that shows an overall view of our friendship. I'm just so clever. ^_^ They all agreed to the ideas but only two of them came up with songs. -__- I, on the other hand, have a really short list of songs that are for the whole group and I want to share. :)
1. Grenade Jumper by Fall Out Boy
-This song is so cute in a "I love you bro" way. :) It makes me happy every time I hear it. This is more like 'I'm happy you're my friend and I love all the crazy shit we do together.' song. Listen to (or read) the lyrics.
"I know you would be there either way, so bad it seems like these times will never fade. Hey Chris, you were our only friend and I know this is belated but we love you back!"
2. The World Has It's Shine (I Would Drop It On A Dime) by Cobra Starship
-This song is more of a 'I really love you. Thank you for being my friend and understanding me. You ARE family." My heart gets heavy whenever I hear this and flashbacks of the nights my friends where we spend talking just hit me. It's a tear jerker. I love these people way too much.
"I could never turn my back on you."
3. Give 'Em Hell, Kid by My Chemical Romance
-Not only is this song bad ass, it's like grenade jumper. I love the crazy shit my friends and I do together. Without them, I wouldn't be this person. I wouldn't be more vocal about my opinion. I wouldn't be listening to the type of music that I do and if I wasn't introduced to this type of music then I wouldn't know about the fandom and in turn fan fiction. That's just scary. *shudder*
"If you were here, I'd never have a fear." / "I miss you more than I did yesterday" / "We are young and we don't care."
I love them. ^_^ Here's to hoping that they all play a part in my future. :)
